Exhibition catalog for Poetic Machines, displayed at the Museu Casa do Pontal from February to August 2011. The exhibition showed the work of Abraham Palatnik, the pioneer of kinetic art in Brazil, and popular artists Adalton, Laurentino, Nhô Caboclo and Saúba os the central theme of movement. The exhibit - curated by anthropologist Angela Mascelani, director of the Museum, and Henrique Afonso Costa, member of Board of the Museum - began a series of dialogues between folk and contemporary art at the Museu Casa do Pontal. "Poetic Machines" joined six works of Abraham Palatnik (born in Natal, February 19, 1928), of which two are from his private collection and the rest are from the collection of Gilberto Chateaubriand Collection / MAM Rio. The works by Adalton Fernandes Lopes (1938-2005) , Laurentino (1937 - 2009), Nho Caboclo (? - 1976) and Saúba (1953) are from the collection of the Museu Casa do Pontal.
