The festivities represented in folk art originated the sculptures and original figures that celebrate Brazilians’ delight and love of music, dance, encounters and merriment. The clay figures focus on traditional festivals such as bumba-meu-boi, carnival, maracatus, religious processions, festival of the three kings, etc. as well as collective meetings to celebrate something or someone, or weddings, processions and holy days, historical facts or even private events, shows and display of skills.
