The workshops are offered throughout the year by appointment. Workshops may be conducted in two formats: an introduction of the museum to student-teachers, educators and socio-cultural administrators, or a presentation to help prepare educators and managers who wish to bring groups to visit the permanent exhibition accompanied by educators, artists and/or performers or participate in educational activities in travelling exhibitions.

Activities: 
An introduction to the museum with an emphasis on the educational potential of the collection, guided by experts with the help of informational materials from the Museum Casa do Pontal. When it comes to a workshop for preparing for an accompanied visit there is an institutional video presentation of the Educational and Social Program of the Museum, followed by presentation of the methodology used and the content of identity and cultural diversity characteristics discussed, in line with National Curriculum Parameters, followed by guided tour demonstrating the methodology in the approach to the collection. The seminar concludes with an exchange of ideas about the accompanied visits to the permanent collection, traveling exhibitions and specific objectives raised by teachers.

Duration and times: 
The cultural presentation is approximately one hour and thirty minutes (from 10:00 to 11:30 or 14:30 to 16:00) and preparation for accompanied tour lasts approximately two hours and thirty minutes (from 9:30 am to 12:00 and from 14:00 h to 16:30 h).
