Zequinha

Zequinha produced his figures in São José, neighbouring town to Florianopolis, Santa Catarina State (SC). His work was easily encountered in the municipal market of Florianopolis in the period 1970-1980, and is part of the local inventory of the Azorean legacy. His main work in the collection of the Casa do Pontal Museum is a Nativity scene modelled in pale clay, highlighted by the originality of the shapes and painting of the various figures. Little is known about this artist.
