Durvalina

Durvalina Gomes Francisco was born on 9 June 1970 in Campo Alegre, municipality of Turmalina, Minas Gerais State. When she was a child her mother taught her how to work with clay. She makes dolls, brides, flowers, pots and other pieces. A characteristic of her work is the harmonious proportions of her figures, whatever their size. Her husband Antonio Oliveira Francisco Xavier helps her to collect and prepare the clay, bake the pieces and put some finishing touches to her work. She is talented and especially enjoys creating her charming brides.
